About this objectA marble bust by an unknown artist of the much copied sculpture ‘Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss’ by Antonio Canova (1757-1822) held at the Louvre, Paris. This sculpture is less elaborate than the original (Cupid is missing a quiver and Psyche is missing her flask) and closer to another made by Canova held by the State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg under the name 'Cupid and Psyche'.
