Heritage Walks

We can arrange guided walks through parts of the district for parties of up to fifteen people. Designed to illustrate the rich and diverse heritage of the district, most will take around two to three hours at a gentle strolling pace.

All walks will include a refreshment break at a public house, while other types of refreshment can be arranged for children.

Self-guided walks

We have designed a number of walks for individuals, families or groups to guide themselves with the help of a leaflet, giving instructions on the route and brief descriptions of what can be seen along it. You should check opening times and access arrangements before setting out on the walks.

Talks

Museum staff can be booked to give talks to schools, community groups and other interested bodies. Subjects include topics to do with the archaeology of North Hertfordshire (including individual towns and villages) and more general archaeological themes, including Ancient Egypt, Roman Civilisation, British prehistory and Archaeology and UFOs. Please contact us for details of costs.
