About this objectWatercolour depicting a set of dilapidated timber-framed cottages and outbuildings at Titmore Green, by F L Griggs. A woman stands in front of the right hand cottage. It is similar to a pen-and-ink image reproduced in Highways and Byways in Hertfordshire (see Accession number 7475/16); there is also an earlier view of the cottages from 1894 (Accession number 6059), which is less accomplished but larger.
The site is now The Hermit of Redcoats public house.
