About this objectA small blue faïence amulet of Dḥehuty (Thoth), the Egyptian god of wisdom and knowledge. The god is depicted as an ibis-headed man, striding with left foot forward and holding and ankh (the symbol of life) in his right hand. There is a vertical pillar behind his back and there is solid faience between his legs. There is a small hole for suspending the amulet between the middle of the god's back and the pillar.
