About this objectThis group was formed as the Hitchin Light Opera Company in 1903. Their first performance, Gilbert and Sullivan's The Sorcerer, took place in 1904 at Hitchin Town Hall. Since then, except for the war years, there has been an unbroken record of performances at venues in Hitchin and Stevenage.
