Middlesex Wanderers were a fascinating team in the history of football, truly living up to their 'Wanderer' moniker. The team toured across the world "To promote a good fellowship among football clubs". The Wanderers were the first British Team to visit Turkey for example, playing against Turkish giants Fenerbache amongst others in a 1939 visit.
Whilst wandering the world they have also turned out to face national teams, playing against Nigeria in their 1960 Independence celebrations.
