The club's management team also feature on the photo including team manager Peter "the Great" McWilliam. In all McWilliam had two stints as Tottenham Manager both during a world war. His first spell as manager ran between 1912 and 1927. His second ran between 1938 and 1942 whereupon he retired beleiving himself too old to continue. A highlight of his first reign was winning the FA Cup of 1921.
Tottenham's board of directors sit on the front row. Among the directors is George Wagstaffe Simmons, a leading figure in football in the early 1900s. Wagstaffe Simmons was variously a footballer, match official, football journalist and more. He was a huge influence within football in Hertfordshire, leading the Hertfordshire Football Association and also founding St Albans City football team.
