About this objectBadge of the London Football Association. Gilt shield shape with two dragons supporting the coat-of-arms of the City of London. 'London FA' is written in a banner at the top and at the bottom 'Diables Rouges 1st Nov 1932'. Diables Rouges, translated as Red Devils, is the nickname given to the Belgian national football team. This date perhaps relates to a visit of a Belgian team to London, but there is no sign the men's national football team played a match on that day, indeed the only match played by Belgium in November 1932 was against Sparta Prague and was held in Brussels on 23 November.
