Name/TitleWatercolour painting of an unidentified street scene
About this objectFramed watercolour painting by F L Griggs. Although described in the Accessions Register as a view of Baldock, the reverse of the frame says "Paynes Park, Hitchin?"; the view does not appear to depict either place. The painting shows a road leading down to a T-junction, with trees behind the buildings in the background. It may be an imagined landscape of the type that was to dominate his later work.
