About this objectOil painting of lavender cold frame at rear of the Perks and Llewellyn chemist shop. Perks and Llewellyn stood at 9 High Street until 1962 when it was demolished. Grace Aylin salvaged some wood from the floor of the old shop and created a sculpture which is now in the museums collection. Fixtures and fittings from the shop also feature in the Living in North Herts Gallery in our museum.
