About this objectNotes on the Life and Teaching of Jesus, book by Edward Grubb (1854-1939). Grubb was a Quaker who wrote extensively on religious philosophy, after suffering a crisis of faith as he found his scientific knowledge incompatible with religious belief. He also popularised pacifism. He died in Letchworth and is buried in the Quaker burial ground on Bedford Road in Hitchin.
