Frederick Hastings, book by Frederick (Fred) Hastings ‘the cycling parson’ (1838-1937). He was an inveterate cyclist who visited so many countries that he became known as ‘the cycling parson’. He claimed to have ridden some 30,000 miles. He was at one point chairman of the London Congregational Union, and for some years served on the London County Council.
