Name/TitleTranscript of Edmund Nunn’s antiquarian notebook
About this objectTyped transcript of the notebook of Edmund Brook Nunn of Royston, recording his antiquarian observations and excavations of places around the town. It consists of 22 pages of quarto paper, typed only on one side, with pencil and ink copies of his drawings inserted at the relevant locations. There is foxing around the edges of the pages and some damage to a few corners. There is a hole to the top left where a brass split pin paper fastener was used to keep the sheets together.
The original is in the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, Cambridge (Accession Number GO2/2/5), which supplied the transcript at the request of Pervical Westell, curator of Letchworth Museum. The document was sent by Maureen O’Reilly, although it is not certain if she was responsible for the transcript.
