This was the second annual Futsal tournament staged by the The St Albans City Youth Community Football Club and was won by Hitchin Belles under 16 Futsal team, who beat Spurs ladies 4-1 in the final. Futsal is a football game, played on a smaller indoor hard court, with five players on each team and a weighted ball to emphasise each players technical ability rather than physical ability.
Hitchin Belles was founded in 1999 by Roger Spicer, who had spent time coaching a female football team in the United States.
Hitchin Belles has grown into one of the largest female football teams in the country with many different teams competing at different age categories, from under 5's to adults.
The Belles have embraced futsal, winning this 2017 trophy and winning again in 2019-20.
