These include a large bone of a cow (.1) a rib bone of a small to medium animal (possibly a sheep or goat) (.2) A bone of a small to medium animal with socket surface (possibly a sheep or goat) (.3) and a metapodial (?) bone of a small to medium mammal, (possibly a sheep or goat) (.4)
These bones are domestic waste from food preparation and are almost certainly from a pit inserted before the river was diverted this means they could date anywhere from the Roman period through to the 20th Century.
