North Herts Museum School Sessions - Summer Pastimes

School Workshop Session

Summer Pastimes

  • History

Take your class on a journey back in time to discover how children spent their summers in days gone by!

Through hands-on activities and historical detective work, students will uncover the story of a mystery family holiday, using clues to piece together who they were and what they did. Along the way, they’ll get creative by making their own miniature flag to proudly place on top of a sandcastle. For an extra immersive experience students will also have a chance to dress up, looking at traditional swimming costumes, discovering firsthand how beachwear has evolved over the years.

This workshop brings history to life, offering students a fun and memorable way to connect with the past while celebrating the joys of Summer!
