Museum Education Service
Unlock a year of enriched learning experiences for your school with our annual subscription service, designed to bring history and culture directly to your students.
Schools can subscribe to our unique Museum Education Service and benefit from a wide variety of interactive workshop sessions, both in-school and at the Museum, as well as loan boxes to complement classroom learning.
What Your Subscription Includes
The subscription provides a comprehensive package for schools, which includes:
1. Workshop Sessions
Up to 3 curriculum-supporting workshop sessions delivered annually at your school or at the Museum, designed for a class of up to 35 children.
A minimum of one session must be at the Museum. Subscribers can book extra workshop sessions beyond their allocated three at a reduced rate of £95 per session.
2. Museum Loan Boxes
Access to our extensive Museum Loan Box collection with up to 10 museum loan boxes available per term (covering subjects like the Victorians, Egyptians, Natural History, The Second World War, Romans, Geology and Toys.).
Subscription Costs
All costs are per financial year.
Primary Schools (Key Stage 1 & 2)
The cost is calculated per full-time pupil on roll.
- Within NHC area: £1.05 per pupil
- Outside NHC area: £1.25 per pupil + mileage
- Minimum charge: £75
Secondary Schools (Key Stage 3 & 4)
A flat rate of £75 per department (e.g. Art, History) for access to the loan box service only.
