Norton Henge and the Baldock Bowl

Baldock sits in an unusual landscape: from the centre of the town, it appears to be surrounded by a ring of hills owing to their configuration. 

Within this bowl-like feature is one of the densest concentrations of prehistoric remains in Hertfordshire. The discovery of an early henge on one edge in 2010 as well as excavations at Blackhorse Road and Works Road in Letchworth Garden City raise the importance of this area to national significance.
