Dinosaurium: Reimagined Creatures Exhibition

28 March – 28 June 2026
Every dinosaur ever seen, on film, TV, in books or exhibitions, has, at least in part, been a work of the imagination. Since the first dinosaurs were identified, there has been a desire to put flesh on the bones and a glint in the eye of these amazing animals.
This exhibition looks at the long history of our relationship with dinosaurs, from ancient legends of mythical winged beasts in the deserts of central Asia, to the creatures brought to life in Jurassic Park.
Visitors can also learn about the animals that lived alongside the dinosaurs and are still here today, and discover the passion and dedication of the fossil hunters in this fun, family-friendly exhibition.
Museum Picks – A few of our favourite things

14 April – 14 June 2026
When you visit a museum and look around at the displays, the words you read and the voice that you hear is almost always the Curator, the person whose job it is to look after the objects and organise the exhibitions, but a museum is far more than just its Curator. North Hertfordshire Museum benefits from the hard work of lots of other people in different roles, some working with the public and some behind the scenes, all striving to bring our programme of exhibitions and events to life. This exhibition brings their voice to you, where they will, in their own words, tell you all about the objects that inspire them from around the museum.
This exhibition is in the Arches Display Space in our Terrace Gallery.
