Dinosaurium: Reimagined Creatures Exhibition

Dinosaur exhibition

28 March – 28 June 2026

Every dinosaur ever seen, on film, TV, in books or exhibitions, has, at least in part, been a work of the imagination. Since the first dinosaurs were identified, there has been a desire to put flesh on the bones and a glint in the eye of these amazing animals.

This exhibition looks at the long history of our relationship with dinosaurs, from ancient legends of mythical winged beasts in the deserts of central Asia, to the creatures brought to life in Jurassic Park.

Visitors can also learn about the animals that lived alongside the dinosaurs and are still here today, and discover the passion and dedication of the fossil hunters in this fun, family-friendly exhibition.

150 Years of Brookers

16 June – 12 July 2026

This exhibition celebrates 150 years of T. Brooker & Sons, a long‑established Hitchin business that has become a familiar part of the town’s identity. Tracing the company’s story from its founding in 1876 to the present day, the display explores how a small hardware shop grew and adapted across generations of the same family.

Through photographs, documents and personal histories, visitors can discover the life of founder Thomas Brooker Senior, the early years of the shop, and its expansion to multiple locations in Hitchin and nearby Letchworth Garden City.

This exhibition is in the Arches Display Space in our Terrace Gallery.
