The Prehistory of Britain

It is too easy to write off prehistory as thousands of years in which very little happened and about which we know almost nothing. 

By contrast, British prehistory was a dynamic period of fundamental changes, including technological and religious innovation, constant migration and settlement, and provided the foundations for many features from which modern identity is built.
