Teens, Textiles & Tapestry, a Creative Weaving Workshop
An introduction to the art of woven tapestry. This workshop is specially designed for creative teens who love tactile crafts and is the perfect opportunity for textile students to add a new set of weaving skills to their portfolio.
Discover the creative possibilities of the loom. In this session, Lucy will introduce you to the basics of tapestry weaving and the essential ‘weft-faced’ techniques used by tapestry artists, before you choose the colours and fibres you will use to weave your own mini textile piece to take home.
Whether you want to experiment with your own abstract ideas or follow one of Lucy’s prepared designs, you’ll have the freedom to explore the meditative and modern sides of this ancient craft while Lucy guides you through the process.
