Through the Lens: work by Letchworth Garden City Camera Club
Letchworth Garden City Camera Club is made up of a very mixed group of people, and, since lockdown, members don’t even all live in Letchworth! You’ll see a wide range of photographs in this exhibition, some showing off a particular location, others sharing a feeling or a story, and others still revealing the beauty of nature. That’s the joy of photography: you can communicate so many different ideas and interests.
The club has a weekly meeting and takes many trips to inspire creativity – badger watching in Welwyn, seaside in Southend, architecture in Valencia, general strangeness in Dungeness, Day of the Dead street photography in London and even a trip to Milton Keynes! The club might be more than 100 years old, but the members are not! We’re about enjoying ourselves, encouraging creativity and the development of individual styles, and being part of a group of friendly and supportive people.
