Mini Easter Basket – Kids Weaving Workshop
Learn how to weave your own colourful mini Easter basket decoration.
Lucy Sugden will guide you step by step through the process of weaving a basket before you add your own ideas and creative flair. You decide who or what lives inside your basket. Perhaps a bunny is ready to hop out, or a chick is peeping up at you, or maybe there are eggs hidden inside. You decide how to complete your basket.
Suitable for ages 4-11

About the tutor
Lucy is a woven tapestry artist who weaves from her studio in Letchworth Garden City. Her work is an exploration and development of process and fibres with light play and discarded fibres while sharing the beauty, tranquillity and needed balance she sees in local habitats.
It is important to Lucy to maintain a sustainable art practice by recycling and upcycling fibres, this has become an integral part of how she works and has a direct effect on design and size of a piece. Work is woven using good-quality waste fibres, either from a craft stash, a box at the back of the garage, or from yarn suppliers and rug manufacturers.
A member of The British Tapestry Group, The Wynd Gallery and various textiles associations Lucy regularly exhibits locally and nationally, along with delivering talks, workshops, and courses.
