Experience the Second World War through the eyes of a child evacuee. These boxes encourage empathy, imagination, and historical understanding. The boxes include evacuees’ suitcases, ration sample models, and personal stories.

Box contains:

  1. A wooden tank toy
  2. A set of wooden soldiers (3)
  3. A wind-up ‘tank made from a repurposed cotton reel
  4. A set of rations for 1 week including an egg, bacon corned beef (2), butter, cheese and lard
  5. A set of marbles
  6. Information pack including local newspaper clippings, photographs, item descriptions and activities
  7. A wooden tommy gun toy
  8. A wooden battleship toy
