North Herts Museum School Sessions - Stone Age to Bronze Age

School Workshop Session

Stone Age to Bronze Age

  • History

Transport your students back to the Stone-Age with a hands-on workshop that explores the lives of our earliest ancestors.

In this immersive Stone Age workshop, students will embark on a journey back in time to explore how early humans transitioned from nomadic lifestyles to farming, ultimately shaping the course of civilisation.

They’ll have the chance to handle real objects crafted 40,000 years ago, forging a tangible connection to the distant past. Students will also engage in hands-on activities, building their own shelter using traditional techniques that mirror the methods of Stone Age people. They will finally experience the thrill of hunting with a bow and arrow, bringing the past to life through active participation and discovery.
