Unlock Hitchin’s rich past in our local history investigation workshop…

In this engaging local history workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore what Hitchin was like in the past, delving into fascinating first-hand sources.

Through photographs, sanitary inspectors’ records and census’s attendees will piece together the lives of people who lived in the town during the Victorian era.

This session offers a unique way to learn about the community’s history and daily life.

This workshop can be combined with the ‘Disease, drains and drinking water’ session, creating a comprehensive exploration of Victorian-era living conditions.
