A taste of Christmas past: evening talk
20 December @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Our lunchtime version of this talk sold out in 48 hrs, so we have added an extra date!
Throw the turkey out the window and step back in time to discover Christmas dinner traditions from the past.
From medieval times to the Tudors, and through to the Victorian Era.
How have their traditional Xmas dishes influenced us today?
Learn about the evolution of the Christmas pudding, how best to eat your gold and sugar, and how we seem to be all about the pies.
Join us for an evening talk by Cas Sanders at North Hertfordshire Museum.
Tea and coffee will be served at £1 per cup or £1.50 for a hot drink and a mince pie.
Tickets are free, but donations are always welcome.
The talk will last an hour and will then be followed by an opportunity for questions.
Ingredients will be shown as part of the talk and will include nuts.
