A Taste of Chocolate Past
30 April @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm£5
Slap your cocoa beans on a metate and let’s make chocolate!
Following on from our successful talk A Taste of Christmas Past, we bring you a new delicious journey through the history of chocolate.
From the court of Charles II to the Victorians, decadence was all about the hot chocolate. A selection of samples will be available for you to try the different ways this soothing treat can be enjoyed.
We will also dust off a nearly 2000 year old Mexican method to demonstrate how chocolate is traditionally made.
So let your taste buds tingle and don’t miss out.
Join us for a lunchtime talk by Cas Sanders at North Hertfordshire Museum.
Samples will be available, please contact us if you have any allergy concerns.
Purchase through Eventbrite or drop into Hitchin Town Hall reception to pay cash.
